Dm Slides & Immature Comments

Well to start with, there is a large school of thought that prefers (or manages to) ignore immature comments on their work (they call it the feed), and also dm slides. Well I am not from my school of thought, for me my work is like my home, if you come you must not litter.

Also i do not want to use tools overtly to restrict comments and dms, cos i am intrigued to know how people think, or instantly react to a photograph.

here are some interesting observations:

1. most people do not bother to see more work, once a photograph is thrown at them, they will instantly hit dm, or comment, not caring to see if it is a photographer or muse. not that either deserves such flashing of an upbringing

2. when you engage with them, they will either not realise it, cos they are truly dim, or they will become defensive by saying why are you singling me out, the whole world is doing just that, and if it offends you so much why is it in the public domain itself. this is the typical of she was raped cos what she was wearing, or the way she was behaving, or the way she was walking, etc etc.

3. there are quite a few who realise their folly, and backtrack with an apology.

But one look at the way people comment on somesones profile, is truly disturbing for the simple fact that what represents a majority also represents the state of that society. and if this is the mindset of the society, then it truly is disappointing.

As an optimist you are always looking and hoping at the positives, but if an optimist like me can be shaken, i m sure we need some very large steps to fix what is deteriorating maybe due to an unhappy, deprived, frustrated, angry society.
